2012 brings an exciting new venture for Astridges. From April we will, in addition to our main outdoor catering services, be the main caterer at Yurt Camp Devon... including a Café with a rustic flavor and large Event Catering facility.

Set in over 40 acres of natural woodland on the edge of Dartmoor and only 15 minutes or so from Exeter we’ve aptly named the café – The Wood Café. As well as catering for ‘Devon Yurt Camp’ visitors, the venue also has a wedding, alcohol and music licence, meaning that we will also be providing all catering for receptions and private events – in a 100 capacity Teepee or at the Wood Café!

We are currently producing a new range of menus, with an emphasis on Devon sourced produce, so you can be sure of something very tasty, home-made and out of the ordinary. The kitchens at the Wood Café will also be Astridges preparation base for all of our other outdoor catering events, enabling us to experiment and develop even more recipe and menu ideas.

If you are interested in booking a party... with an opportunity to also spend a night or two in the Yurt, with its own log fire, this really is a venue with a difference! If you have a children’s party in mind there’s an amazing Tree House and woodland adventure play area to keep then happily occupied.
